Art Acquisition and Exhibition
Fund
Collections are the most important asset of any museum. Here
at the Booth Western Art Museum we are proud to exhibit the premiere
collection of contemporary Western art on public display in the
country. We also house important collections of contemporary
Civil War art, Western illustrations, Presidential letters and
photographs, and Western movie posters. These collections
establish the Booth as a unique institution contributing to the
cultural richness of our region.
In order for the Museum to continue to add to its collections
we need support from donors who recognize how important the ongoing
collecting of objects is to accomplishing the mission of the Museum.
For a museum, such as the Booth, which concentrates on collecting
the work of living artists, we attempt to identify the best artists
working today and collect the best examples of their work. In
order to do this we need support from donors who identify with this
goal. Donations made to the Art Acquisition and Exhibition
Fund are restricted and may only be used to support the purchase of
art for the collection, or the mounting of outstanding temporary
exhibitions at the Museum. Donations of cash, stock, and
artwork or bequests are greatly appreciated and will help to ensure
the ongoing quality growth of the collections at the Booth Western
Art Museum. You may contact the Development Department at
770-607-6363 for further details.
