BOOTH ART ACADEMY SUMMER CAMPS 2011

Art Camp Kids

Children’s classes

Jr. Pottery (Ages 7 and Up)

Come play in the clay! In this pottery class there will be all new hand-building projects, and plenty of time to work on the potter’s wheel.  This program is for all levels of clay enthusiasts. Jr. Pottery

Session One
Instructor: Natalie Goodwin
Tuesday – Friday, June 7 - 10
9:00 am - Noon
Fee: $100 for members, $120 for non-members
Includes supplies
After firing is complete, students will need to return to glaze projects. 
Glazing days: students may choose either June 17 or 20, 9:00 am – Noon.
Min. 5, Max. 12

Session Two
Instructor: Jayme Laney
Tuesday – Friday, June 28 – July 1
9:00 am - Noon
Fee: $100 members, $120 non-members
Includes supplies
After firing is complete, students will need to return to glaze projects. 
Glazing days: students may choose either July 8 or 11, 9:00 am – Noon.

Art Bugs (Ages 4 - 6)

Art Child

Bring a rainbow of color to your summer!   Come get your hands on different types of art media with all new activities.  Explore art through painting, drawing, stories, movement, and creative play in this fun-packed camp.

Art Explorers (Ages 7-15)

Ian Drawing Try it all!  There will be all kinds of different art-making materials and techniques in this fun-filled art camp. Explore the fabulous art collection of the Booth Western Art Museum, and try your hand at a variety of art projects including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media.

Drawing and Cartooning (Ages 8 – 15)
Do you love to draw?  Do you enjoy cartoons and comic books?  Then this is the camp for you!  Kids find their own unique artistic style by exploring various drawing and cartooning techniques.  We will be drawing animals, people, imaginary landscapes and go over perspective and shading.

Jr. Artists ART SPLASH Show and Reception
We are excited to welcome you and your family to the first ever Jr. Artists summer art show.  Join your Jr. Artist at the ART SPLASH show to celebrate and support their artistic talent.  There will be Jr. Artists work on display, refreshments, and activities.  Bring the whole family!
