9:00 am – 1:00 pm: School Program – Passport to the West
Bring your students to the Booth Museum for an unforgettable Western experience. History comes alive for students with demonstrations of pottery making, blacksmithing, chair caning, spinning, beading, chuck wagon cooking, flint knapping, and life at a trading post. Living history performers, Jim Sawgrass, and Little Big Mountain will present programs on Native American culture for students. This program is appropriate for grades 2 – 12. Admission is $5 for students; $3 for adults; teachers are free. Call 770-387-3849 to schedule your school group.

10:30 am - 3:30 pm: Art History Lectures in the Booth Theatre
Scholars from around the country will present their research on a variety of Western art topics. All presentations are held in the Booth Theatre, lasting approximately 60 minutes, with time for questions during each session. This event is free for members and included in regular admission for not-yet-members.

10:00 am – 5:00 pm: Cowboy Festival, Children’s Activities and Western Marketplace on the grounds of the Museum
Sample the wares of vendors ranging from Western art to collectibles. Enjoy entertainment throughout the day on two stages, including Western music, fast draw competitions, three performances of the Re-enactment of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral and demonstrations of traditional Native American dances by the Big Mountain Family. Plus, living history encampments with demonstrations of pioneer skills from bygone days.
The Kids Corner of the Festival and Symposium will feature a variety of free activities for children. They can create a sand painting, paint the “yard art” ponies, do some calf roping and have their face painted. There will also be pony rides available for a small charge.

**Join us for our first ever Children's Parade! We want to see all children ages 2-12 dressed in ther best Cowboy Festival attire. All participants are asked to gather by Cowpoke Corner 30 minutes before the Children's Parade is set to begin. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed!

Lynn Anderson's two loves are music and horses. Billboard currently ranks Lynn among the Top 10 most successful female country artists for all-time record sales. In a career that spans four decades, she has charted eleven #1, 18 Top-10, and over 50 Top-40 recordings. This country music legend has earned 17 Gold albums and won virtually every award available to a female recording artist: CMA Female Vocalist, ACM Female Vocalist, American Music Award, and the prestigious Grammy Award.
