Friday, Oct. 24, 7:00 pm in the Grand Theatre

Master of Ceremonies:  Jim Dunham, The Fastest Gun in the East and the Booth Museum’s Director of Special Projects.

Doc Stovall & the Tumbleweed Cowboy Band, have been named Georgia’s best cowboy band each of the last two years by the Atlanta Society of Entertainers.  The group features the talents of
Doc Stovall, Gary Kimbrough, Jim Dorsett, Lamar Hu
nter, and Ryan Johnson.

Kip Calahan is one of the top women singers in the Western genre.
She grew up in New Mexico but followed her dream of becoming a star to Nashville, where she had the opportunity to work with idols like Tim McGraw, Jo De Messina, and Tracy Lawrence.  On a visit back to New Mexico,
she met the cowboy of her dreams and settled down on a ranch in southwest New Mexico.
She now travels the country performing her original songs of cowboy life and
traditional material. The Academy of Western Artists named her Female Vocalist of
the Year in 2004 and awarded her the Album of the Year award in 2005.

Tom Kerlin, a Georgia native, is no stranger to the cowboy life or to writing, so it was only natural he became a cowboy poet. Kerlin has traveled and worked across the West and currently lives on his family’s ranch in Fayette County Georgia, where he has developed a deep understanding of what it means to be a cowboy. A journalist by profession, Kerlin enjoys combining his love of writing with his love of the cowboy way of life.

A CD signing will follow the show in the Encore Room adjacent to the Theatre.
